It was written for Floyd | the interactive fiction event in Munich that the culture collective Floyd | called "department of volxvergnuegen" organized on May 7, 2011. At Floyd | least parts of the game you're playing right now take place on said Floyd | event, during which a workshop for writers took place, we screened GET Floyd | LAMP by Jason Scott and people could play several interactive fiction Floyd | games on a couple of terminals we provided. Ah yes, and we played the Floyd | game you're playing right now collectively on the big screen, which Floyd | was a lot of fun also, in spite of all its bugginess. Floyd | Floyd | But now to my apologies. This is by no means a good game, if we take Floyd | polished and well thought-out games like, well, let's face it, every Floyd | single game that did well in the past 16 years of the Interactive Floyd | Fiction Competition and compare them to our game; it was written in Floyd | just a couple of weeks by me and my friend Anonymeuss (thanks to the Floyd | rest of the Nerd Kru for making this insane story up, you know who you Floyd | are!), and neither of us had ever written a piece of interactive Floyd | fiction before. It's a very railroaded game and probably still pretty Floyd | buggy, the puzzles aren't too avant-garde and it features long deserts Floyd | of text that make the opening of Oliver Ullmann's "The Duel That Floyd | Spanned The Ages" look like a four-line poem. But we still think our Floyd | crazy little story is pretty funny and we hope you'll give it a spin. There's a short summary at the bottom of every Floyd | page you read in the diary. Here's how it works with the diary: READ Floyd | page IN DIARY, for example you could type "read page 6 in diary" and Floyd | would get page six. Another possible way is writing "read page 1 in Floyd | diary" and then "read next page in diary" until you reach the end. So Floyd | here's the flaw. You cannot READ anything apart from the diary in this Floyd | game, even though you will encounter writing in several places. Floyd | EXAMINE it instead, please. Floyd | Floyd | The other girl removes a huge board from the eastern wall, revealing a Floyd | black iron door with bars! She unlocks the door with a rusty key, Floyd | opens it, and out stumbles your internet friend, mandy95, completely Floyd | naked, looking miserable. Why didn't you see this?!? You could have Floyd | freed him! The two girls throw him to the floor, tie him up with pink Floyd | ribbons and feed him with mandrake roots. You feel paralyzed from the Floyd | stench emanating from those disgusting roots. Floyd | Floyd | You just hope your trick with the black metal music will work, Floyd | otherwise all is lost. Floyd | Floyd | Now Jennifer takes the Necronomicon, says "Zicke Zacke Hühnerkacke", Floyd | and the evil book opens. She reads some sinister sounding ritualistic Floyd | poems you don't really understand. All you can discern is "Azatoth Floyd | Cznupolowski, gulli gulli ramsamsam", which makes the red lamp Floyd | explode. Only the ritual candles give off light now, light and putrid Floyd | smoke. Floyd | Floyd | "And now...the music!", Vanessa says, almost chanting, handing the Floyd | tape over to her accomplice, who puts it into the tapedeck. You close Floyd | your eyes. And clench your fists. Floyd | Floyd | As the play button on the tapedeck is pressed, hordes of completely Floyd | braindead nordic emperors invade your ear canals! You hear a hoarse Floyd | voice screaming "Blashyrk Mighty Ravendark!", and as the nordic riders Floyd | charge forward to enter the burning castle, the music stops. you open Floyd | your eyes again... Floyd | Floyd | The two girls lie on the floor unconscious. You shake them, and they Floyd | slowly open their eyes, but they cannot remeber what has just Floyd | happened. Floyd | Floyd | As you untie your friend and remove the roots from his mouth, he Floyd | whispers, "Kong...you did it...you have defeated the Diddl Girls...the Floyd | world is saved..." he stands up, picks up the rusty key from the floor Floyd | and hands it to you. "But Kong, it's not over yet...You see...if i Floyd | don't stay locked up in this cellar room for another month, i will not Floyd | be able to send you that facebook message you received, and you will Floyd | not be able to travel back in time to save me! He Floyd | enters his cell.Reluctantly, you close the door and lock it. Floyd | Floyd | And now you're back at the party. In the bar. It's 3 am, everybody is Floyd | having a good time. The music is great, ghood really rocks the crowd. Floyd | Floyd | You meet Fabi, who's looking remarkably good, arm in arm with a girl Floyd | called Karin, although she has no arms anymore, she's had them removed Floyd | as the ultimate body modification. They both seem very happy. Floyd | Floyd | You're dancing all through the night, and when the sun rises, you Floyd | decide it's time to call it a day.
