Not All Things Make It Across by Bruno Dias
The World Turned Upside Down by Bruno Dias
As played on ifMUD on January 1, 2017

The idea behind ClubFloyd is that each week at a pre-arranged time, a group of people meet online to cooperatively play a game of interactive fiction.

Below is a transcript of Not All Things Make It Across written by Bruno Dias, and The World Turned Upside Down written by Bruno Dias. You can learn more about the games, including how to download them, by visiting the IFDB pages: Not All Things Make It Across, and The World Turned Upside Down.

WARNING! Below you will find a transcript of people playing these games, and it goes without saying that the transcript is full of spoilers. So, if you've never played these games, and think you might like to at some point, I do not recommend reading any further. Instead, you might want to return to the interactive fiction page.

#ClubFloyd Discussion

BrianK exclaims, "Happy new year!!"
Doug says, "woooo!"
DavidW says, "I see by the bb that Jacqueline will be away today. So I guess it's continue your last game if applicable or Floyder's Choice."
Roger says, "huzzah"
BrianK says, "The last game was Enchanter, but it might be nice to take a break and play something else"
BrianK says, "Although I don't have any ideas otherwise"
Doug says, "Bruno released a new game yesterday"
Doug | [LINK]
Jacqueline says, "If you all would like, I will upload that before I go."
Jacqueline says, "(Apologies, must get ready and then step out the door in a few minutes.)"
Doug says, "hi Jacq! Happy new year!"
Jacqueline says, "Happy New Year to you, too."
DavidW says, "yes, Happy New Year, Jacqueline."
Jacqueline exclaims, "Happy New Year to the whole lot of you!"
BrianK exclaims, "Happy new year!"
Jacqueline asks, "Did you all finish Enchanter?"
DavidW says (to Doug), "You've at least chosen a game I know nothing about, always a plus."
BrianK says, "We aren't finished yet"
Doug says, "it's a 'sequel' to his other games, but I don't think you need to have played them all. (I've only played 2 or 3)"
Jacqueline says, "Ah. Well, I'll leave it to you all to decide what to do, since Enchanter is still running."
DavidW says, "I think I missed the last Enchanter session (again)."
Doug says, "though that's just a guess"
Jacqueline says, "I've uploaded Bruno's game as notallthings"
Peregrine arrives, full of neither funk nor fun. DavidW says, "hi Peregrine"
Jacqueline says, "And now, I head out. (Happy New Year, Peregerine!)"
DavidW says (to Peregrine), "Happy New Year!"
Jacqueline disappears through an invisible gap in the MUD. You think you may have heard the sounds of chatting before the gap closed again.
BrianK says (to Floyd), "load notallthings"

Floyd | > X SCARF
Floyd |
Floyd | It's pretty much ever color at one point or another; it looks very
Floyd | much like someone finished a scarf, then just started the next one by
Floyd | continuing that same scarf, several times over, until they had a beast
Floyd | that resembled six or seven different scarves joined end to end into a
Floyd | cozy chimera.
Floyd |
Floyd | A cat perches outside one of the windows, then disappears again.
Floyd |
Floyd | The door swings open to let someone in from the outside; given the
Floyd | hour, and the events of the last few days, you can't help but set your
Floyd | fingers behind the bar into an unpleasant pattern, readying some curse
Floyd | or another. But then you see the man's face and your apprehension is
Floyd | replaced by mild annoyance.
Floyd |
Floyd | "We're closed," you say.

Floyd | So named because he doesn't. Grin likes to hang around, listen, figure
Floyd | out where the wind is blowing. He has a tendency to disappear for
Floyd | weeks at a time. Other than that, all you know about him is that he's
Floyd | from someplace warmer than Yeats; right now, in the middle of winter,
Floyd | his head barely pokes out of the enormous scarf wrapped several times
Floyd | around his neck and face.

Floyd |
Floyd | (Ainsley)
Floyd | Ainsley is one of those people who always looks like he's lost weight,
Floyd | skin hanging slightly too loose off his bones like there used to be
Floyd | more of him; but you've never seem him any thicker. Maybe he puffs up
Floyd | when he's back across the ocean where he's from. Wears a
Floyd | professorial-looking argyle sweater vest and a calculated two-day
Floyd | nonbeard. Though you've never seen him do actual magic, of all the
Floyd | joints in all the cities in the world he likes to roll into yours,
Floyd | once every few months, when he's in town.
