ClubFloyd Transcript:
The Bright Blue Ball by Clary C
As played on ifMUD on April 17, 2022

The idea behind ClubFloyd is that each week at a pre-arranged time, a group of people meet online to cooperatively play a game of interactive fiction.

Below is a transcript of The Bright Blue Ball written by Clary C. The Bright Blue Ball was released as part of the 2022 Spring Thing. You can learn more about the game, including how to download it, by visiting IFDB.

WARNING! Below you will find a transcript of people playing this game, and it goes without saying that the transcript is full of spoilers. So, if you've never played this game, and think you might like to at some point, I do not recommend reading any further. Instead, you might want to return to the interactive fiction page.

#ClubFloyd Discussion

DavidW asks, "May I suggest The Bright Blue Ball next?"
Knight_Otu says, "Sure."
DavidW | You are Max, a beloved golden retriever, and you have to find your bright blue ball with only your sense of smell and your wits amidst danger and peril. Aimed at beginners. Kid friendly.

CF | Prologue
CF | You are being carried by your mom; she is running away from something
CF | on a street filled with people, all running. You clench your favorite
CF | blue ball in your jaws, looking around in fear. You can't see anything
CF | but whirling faces filled with panic.

CF | You can do nothing but freeze, motionless...
CF |
CF | Over the din, you hear an alarm - a loud wail even among the screaming
CF | people. Your mom is yelling to your dad - something about a "bomb"?
CF | What is a bomb alarm? She hoists you higher on her shoulder and your
CF | jaws unclench just the slightest, and your bright blue ball falls,
CF | falls, down to the street, and you soon lose sight of it. But you
CF | might have seen a little girl's face, bending to pick the blue ball
CF | up...
